Qualitative vs. Quantitative Form of Success. Society creates metrics of value and worth and assigns them to individuals for natural selection. Where you go to university, whom you marry, and how much money you make, among many other metrics are used to quantify the value of an individual. I believe the qualitative measures of success are often overlooked simply because they can't be placed in a hierarchy within a large society.
IQ vs. EQ
Technology is becoming so advanced that if an individual has the IQ of Albert Einstein but the EQ of Hitler the potential for chaos is absurd. Regulation is important but it should never inhibit innovation, only punish those who abuse the technology.
